Film thank you

Thank you to Sandra, Lava and Charles Sturt University Port Macquarie campus for hosting last night's screening of 'Chasing Asylum'.
The film exposes the realities of Australia's offshore detention policy, and features never-before-seen footage from inside Nauru and Manus Is and interviews with staff and detainees.
It's fair to say the audience was left stunned or "numb" as one man put it.
If you missed the screening, go to http://www.chasingasylum.com.au for information on accessing the film.
A reminder the next Mid North Coast Refugee Support Group meeting will be on Sat June 3, 2017 at Wauchope Arts Hall (Oxley Lane) from 10am.

Also save the date (Friday April 21, 2017) for The Bridge Project - a new musical collective that expands upon the idea of the musical bridge, bringing together seemingly disparate cultures and personalities to create a singular, cohesive unit. Comprised of a Turkish Muslim, an Australian Christian, and an Israeli Jew, The Bridge Project does more than cross a chasm; The Bridge Project eliminates it entirely.
